I love my kitchen, mainly because of the cabinets. There are so many of them which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Good because we have so much storage but on the other hand we have so much stuff we don’t use. We end up collecting and that means out of sight-out of mind. I have wanted white cabinets forever and my husband and I decided that redoing our cabinets was our main gift to ourselves (well my gift-thanks hubby) for Christmas this year. I was so nervous to paint them white but that was the most affordable way. I was referred to Gem Home Services by a friend and I am so happy we decided to use professionals to paint them. My husband and I played with the idea to DIY them ourselves but that only lasted for a hot minute. I decided to leave it professionals because I wanted them to look brand new and “not painted.”
The results. I feel like it totally changed the look of my kitchen. The white cabinets brightened the whole room up. I know what you are thinking… white- it must be a pain to wipe down. Honestly, it’s so easy. With the process Gem Home Services did, they are a breeze to wipe and clean.

I have been searching stools to replace my brown ones and I am really liking these industrial stools from Target.
And if that wasn’t enough. Gem Home Services also installed these barn door baby gates. How amazing are these? I wanted something that would be a part of my home rather than an eye sore. So bye bye metal baby gates. I’ve had them for a month now and still obsessed with them.

The pic above this one was of the baby gate without the last coat of stain. This pic is the final product. And did I say obsessed?
