#CatchMeAtLuxe

I am normally a behind the scenes kind of gal.  But lately I have been pushing myself to be open to discovering new ways of expressing myself rather than just behind kids clothing.  It’s scary but at the same time fun and exciting.  I had the opportunity to model in the 1st Hello Luxe Shoot Out with over 25 amazing photographers.  Bre, the master mind behind this event really had a vision and it was so fun to see it come to life.  Hello Luxe is a collaborative event where bloggers, photographers, make up artists, and brands create high quality content specifically for social media exposure.  I mean, what an inspiring afternoon being around motivated and creative people.
The event was held at The Moxy Tempe, a new hip and trendy hotel with the funnest vibes.  I love every detail of the hotel… the lobby with pretty lights, fun entry to your hotel room, and the ‘ironing room’ with a handsome fella on the wall.  I mean c’mon, this place will make you giddy laugh all around.

Isn’t this dress so dainty and girly?  This blush color is one of my favorite colors to wear.  I’m all about bringing romantic vibes out for during the day.  Because this dress has so many details with the lace, I like to keep jewelry simple.  Sometimes less is better 🙂

I’m pretty obsessed with jumpsuits lately.  This one from Free People is my absolute favorite.  So fun and colorful, it’s also light enough for this hot Arizona weather.

We just released these women’s suits over on my brand, Crew & Lu.  I love them so much because they give just enough skin and also enough coverage to run after the kiddos.  Plus I love twinning with my babe.

Most days I’m pretty casual, it’s always easy to pair a cute top and jeans.  And I seriously live in my birkenstocks lately.  Love them and I think you would to!
Now that was a lot of looks… All shot in one day.  Wish I could show you all the shots from that amazing day but there are so many to choose from.  So I’m sure I will touch base and share more in the future.  A big bravo to everyone involved in the Hello Luxe Shoot Out.

Ella’s Room

Processed with VSCO with s2 preset

Growing up, I never had my own room.  I bounced around between my three sisters rooms (two shared one room, the other had her own) and my parents.  Even though it was a little chaotic – it was a memorable childhood.  So fast forward to now, it has been so much fun to create a space for my very own little girl.  I’m always moving things around and changing it up a bit here and there.  Heres a little look into Ella’s room.

We just received the Kalani 3-Drawer Dresser from Davinci Baby and I love it so much.  We were going dresser-less for awhile which made her room a disaster zone, because hanging every piece of clothing was such a pain.  And I’m sure my laziness contributed to the multiple piles of laundry on the floor.  So this dresser was perfect for helping us getting back some organization.  It’s so sturdy and has plenty of room in each drawer.  Now let’s hope she doesn’t figure out how fun it is to empty the drawers by rumbling through her clothes for the last clean pair of underwear.  HA.

I found that cute little gum ball machine this past weekend at Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market.  It’s in amazing condition and actually works.  I have felt balls in there for decoration right now 🙂

Processed with VSCO with a6 presetElla keeps saying “look at my room”!  That has been on repeat for the last few days and every time she says it, she will drag you by the hand and bring you to her room.  It really is the sweetest thing to see how excited she is.  How cute is that rattan hanging doll chair from @foundersgrove ?

I get emotional thinking about her making memories in this room.  I know I already have some sweet moments that will last forever.  I’m off to try to wrangle the kids and get going for the day.  Hope you have a great week!

Tuft & Needle

We have been settling into our new home and it is feeling oh so good.  Crew was so excited to be my big helper in setting up his room and  I think this really helped his transition into our new space.  I was worried he would have a hard time with all the change lately but kids are so receptive to new things.  Probably teaching me a thing or two to let go and embrace going with the flow.

His Tuft & Needle mattress was delivered right to our door.  Crew helped me bring it in and I was so surprised at how easy it was to handle straight from the box.  It was vacuum sealed and Crew thought it was so cool how it came to life as we took it out of the package.  He immediately wanted to lay on it and test it out.  He kept saying it was “sooooo comfy”.

Having a quality mattress is really so important.  Crew was constantly coming to our room in the middle of the night before his Tuft & Needle.  But these past few nights he has been sleeping so soundly.  I’m not gonna lie, I have even snoozed away when reading him his bedtime stories.  HA!  This week will be so eventful as it’s Christmas week.  The kids are getting so anxious and so am I.  Can’t wait to share more home decor…soon!

Farmhouse {Before}

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

The farmhouse is definitely a lot different than anything we’ve owned before.  I really wanted something with character and this house has all the charm.  It makes me feel like we have one of those cute homes back East, not typical of Arizona and I love that.  We both knew we wanted land and this place offers it.  Lastly, location.  Close to great schools and close to both sides of our families.  Everything else was cosmetic and we knew it had potential.   A lot of potential.  I thought I’d write a post about all the before’s.  That way you can see a glimpse of the farmhouse before the make over.  It’s currently in renovation mode, painfully slow but I’m also the most impatient person ever.  I’m starting to see progress though and every time I see something new done, I get totally giddy.  Here is the before house tour.  All pics are unedited so you get the real idea of things. I hope you can imagine what it could be though 🙂
before-front-porch
Here’s the front porch.  One of the most favorite parts about the house.  It makes me so happy to see the kids running and playing while I can sit and relax.  What’s even more exciting is that it’s getting cooler, so gimme blankets, some wine and I will be one happy mama.
great-room
Great room.  I personally love this floor plan.  We hardly used our formal sitting | formal dining room in our last house and actually turned the front room into a studio.  I love how cozy it already feels and can just feel all the warm gatherings in our future.
